Hometown Throwdown

 

When you live in a small town, the local gas station becomes a lot more than a gas station. That’s what Cenex is all about, powering local pride and communities.

We launched a social media contest to celebrate local pride by asking people to share their hometown festival for a chance to win $100K! That money helped the winning town enhance the festival experience, attract more people, and power the community.

 
 
 

Launch Phase 🚀

We kicked off the contest on social platforms by asking people to tag us and submit their hometown festival on cenexhometownthrowdown.com.

 
 
 

Voting Phase 🫡

Over 500 submissions later, we selected the Top 3 festivals and opened voting to let people decide which fest deserves $100K!

 
 

Winner Announced 🏆

 

After almost a year of searching for the best hometown festival, people voted Norborne Soybean Festival winner of the Cenex Hometown Throwdown and of the $100K prize! We also awarded the other two festivals each $25K to make sure they can continue to fuel their community.
